We know this is a very difficult time for everyone, and want to reassure you that we are here, ready and willing to look after your pets if they are unwell or in an emergency.

But we understand, treating patients increases the risk of spreading Coronavirus to our staff, families, clients and the general public and are taking all the precautions we can, and ask that you help us too by taking these precautions. These are unusual circumstances so please don’t be offended, but we need to do everything we can to protect each other.

Ø  Please phone for advice as usual

Ø  If your animal needs a consultation which  could be managed over the phone, this will cost £50. Any medications required can then be collected from the surgery

Ø  Some pets will need to come into the surgery and an appointment will be made. You may need to wait longer than usual for this so that we can practice social distancing, and take all the necessary precautions to protect everyone

Ø  If you have, or have been in contact with anyone with signs of Covid 19, or you are at a high risk of infection yourself, you must not bring your pet to the surgery yourself but will need to ask a friend or neighbour to do so. We can still communicate with you by phone

Ø  Please come alone to the surgery with your pet

Ø  Please wait in the car and phone on arrival

Ø  We and you should aim to keep at least 2m away from each other at all times

Ø  Please wait in the car and phone on arrival

Ø  Please wear a face covering

Ø  We may treat your pet in the carpark if possible

Ø  We may ask you to remain in the carpark, bring your pet into the surgery and speak to you by phone

Ø  If you need to come in the waiting room, please use the hand sanitiser, avoid touching any hard surfaces including the door handles, desk etc, try to keep 2m away from anyone else

Ø  We may ask you to stay in the waiting room, while we treat your pet elsewhere

Ø  Please pay by card where possible to avoid handling cash

If your pet sadly needs to be put to sleep, we have procedures in place to enable us to still do this with kindness and dignity, and you will of course be able to be with them
